NEW LOOK A GLAM SLAM! (Sarah's "Breakfast at Tiffany's" redo)
NY POST ^ | 9/5/08 | JEANE MACINTOSH and MAGGIE HABERMAN

Posted on 09/05/2008 5:08:53 AM PDT by Liz

Sarah Palin went from schoolmarmish gran to subtly sophisticated glam - thanks to a makeover of darkened hair, rust-toned cheek gues......from Sarah Barracuda and poofy-haired 1985-era beauty queen to flawless and feminine professional woman. Think of Audrey Hepburn's tight upsweep circa "Breakfast at Tiffany's" turning into Paula Abdul's soft bangs and against-the-shoulders 'do. "She was really polished and it brought out the absolute best she could be," said makeover expert Jacki Norrie. George Walker, owner of Ilo salon in Washington, DC, praised Palin's hair and her "softer" slate gray suit jacket and dark skirt. But Melville and New York designer Nicole Young think Palin still needs a stylist. "She needed to be wearing a color-coordinated suit, or a power suit........"

IOW, she needs to do a Hillary? No thanks. I think she looked fine in subdued neutral colors that perfectly accentuated her black skirt.

But Melville and New York designer Nicole Young think Palin still needs a stylist. "She needed to be wearing a color-coordinated suit, or a power suit," Young said. "Instead, she went with separates in two different colors, with nothing accessorizing or pulling it all together."

She needs to pay as much attention to bull5hit like this as she always has ... none, nada, zip

She doesn’t need a re-touch; she’s just naturally gorgeous.

No she doesn’t.
We like her the way she is now. I for one do not want her to change.

Her power suit is the one she wears hunting moose,
She is also very good at hunting rats.

She doesn’t need to wear “power”—she IS power!

Any comments I would make would get me smacked by my wife and ‘banned’ [rightfully so!] from FR for being lascivious ...

;-)

BTW, wouldn’t Fred Thompson be a GREAT press secretary? He might (might) operate at a Tony Snow level.

One of my favorite shows is “what not to wear.” Plus I lost 45 pounds this year and have had to replace my entire wardrobe so I do pay attention to this stuff. I did notice the two tones in her Wednesday outfit. Last night was cleaner. I don’t think its bad to gently tweak the look. Stacy and Clinton on WNTW did a make over once for a LDS woman from Utah and totally respected her need/wish to be modest. They don’t pile on the make-up or do drastic changes but try to work with the person’s original style and personality.

She looked AMAZING at the RNC. That outfit she wore could not be improved in any way. I wonder if she selected it herself? Wouldn’t be surprised.

She’s a natural beauty and if they glam her too much it might be off putting to other women.

So funny...once more people that think they are experts are getting an education that they do not know as much as they think. You wait...Sarah is going to be a trend setter and we will begin to see more people adopting HER style. Already the sales of Sarah style glasses has gone through the roof.

You might have something there.

And to think it was just yesterday there was an article about how bad her hair was. Frankly, I don't see that she's changed hair, makeup, clothing style or anything in this past week. She is one classy lady.
