What makes you so sure that you will stop McCain from passing his amnesty and hopelessly tilting the table of the electorate in favor of the liberals with 30-50m spanking new Socialist Democrat voters?

The single most dangerous thing directly threatening your vote is John McCain's amnesty. They have already tried to pass it twice, then tried to pass it piecemeal, all against the very loudly expressed wishes of the American people. If it happens, the Republicans will never hold a house of federal government again, and will likely be removed from most state houses in a decade.

No doubt. I fear that McCain has given us Palin as a smokescreen and when she gets him elected, she'll be put out into the cornfield and McAmnesty can resume his liberal agenda. And have it tarnish the term 'conservative' and ruin Palin's chances in '12.

I'm not saying I won't vote for her (not him, note), but that the cries of 'We are saved now!' here are just as unthinking as what the Dems do. We still have McAmnesty at the top of the ticket. I'm waiting for the debates to see if he is now more conservative or is she will become more liberal. They do have to be united and be of the same opinion on issues, unfortunately.

That is precisely the case, Cottonball, though I would add that amnesty (whether or not the border fence), if enacted prior to '12 automatically means that Palin's chances are gone anyway- A moot point.

Here is the true danger of amnesty:

In an electorate where Presidential races are being decided by a few million votes at best, and where congressional races can be determined by a few thousand, What do you suppose the impact of 30m-50m newly minted socialist democrat voters will be?

And given that there will be some form of chain migration, if not originally, then added later, what chance is left to the Republicans (not to mention the Conservatives) in a decade?

Extrapolate that data down to state and county races as well, and the impact of this legislation becomes very sobering indeed.

@AIT; rabscuttle385:

I ping'd you here a'purpose because this angle is something that you do not reckon in your message. The impact to our culture is indeed tremendous, but that is not the immediate danger. Our cultural damage is already done, and would continue it's downward spiral.

But the moment that amnesty is enacted, Republicans will lose control of the Rocky Mountain states from Colorado southward, all of the Desert Southwest states, most of the Deep South (including Florida), and the southern Midwest becomes very, very iffy. IOW, Republican strongholds would be forever surmounted and gone away, and the Republican party will never win an election again.

My question, which no one has been able to answer is this:

Why would Republican Senators and Republican administrations be sponsoring this legislation which will surely be their doom?

We cannot lose sight of this conundrum, as it's answer will be the proof of their treason, no doubt.

This is a one way, fast-track ticket to socialism, and if McCain gets it done in the next four years, there is no hope left at all, unless we take it back by force of arms. The vote, by then, will be powerless.

The FENCE is also immaterial. There is already enough illegal population here to do it, fence or no fence, and once amnesty is proclaimed, the fence can be legislated out of existence, which is precisely why McCain is satisfied to "Build their g*dd@mned fence if it will shut them the hell up." Amnesty will mean open borders, either before, or after the fact.

We CANNOT compromise at all, or our nation will be done. "No Amnesty" (most importantly) followed closely by "Go Home", along with "WTF?? (Where's the Fence??)"

Please ping to this post as you see fit.
