Sarah Palin and Motherhood September 2, 2008 on 1:35 pm | In Children, Election, Sarah Palin, Working Women Email This Post Email This Post
I am extremely disappointed in the choice of Sarah Palin as the Vice Presidential candidate of the Republican Party. I will still vote for Senator McCain, because I am very concerned about having a fundamental leftist, especially one who is a marvelous orator, as President.
......
Im stunned - couldnt the Republican Party find one competent female with adult children to run for Vice President with McCain? I realize his advisors probably didnt want a mature woman, as the Democrats keep harping on his age. But really, what kind of role model is a woman whose fifth child was recently born with a serious issue, Down Syndrome, and then goes back to the job of Governor within days of the birth?
I am haunted by the family pictures of the Palins during political photo-ops, showing the eldest daughter, now pregnant with her own child, cuddling the familys newborn. When Mom and Dad both work full-time (no matter how many folks get involved with the children), it becomes a somewhat chaotic situation. Certainly, if a child becomes ill and is rushed to the hospital, and youre on the hotline with both Israel and Iran as nuclear tempers are flaring, wheres your attention going to be? Where should your attention be? Well, once you put your hand on the Bible and make that oath, your attention has to be with the government of the United States of America.

First of all, Dr. Laura is a wonderful person and a true professional who has done a GREAT SERVICE for this country for many, many, many years.
Second, she is entitled to her opinion without being subjected to the politics of personal destruction; as if the bitter bile spewed on this thread toward this remarkable woman wouldn’t remind anyone of what the MSM is doing to Sarah??? Try practicing what you preach. Duh.
Oh yeah, and while your fat asses are firmly entrenched in your chairs and your vitriolic fingers are punching out what you feel are scathingly trenchant conclusions, Dr. Laura is busy helping kids and couples and babies.
Third, Dr. Laura is correct. Truly conservative women stay home and raise their children, especially when they are young. It is our duty and our priviledge. You “conservatives” have just co-opted the Left’s agenda, and you call it a great victory. And then you snarl like cranially challenged orcs when the voice of common sense cuts through the crap.
Like Sarah Palin did as Governor of Alaska?
First, This is/was a decision made between a husband and wife.
Secondly, Dr. Laura should privately contact The Palin’s if she has an opinion because MSM is behaving in the same manner.
Thirdly, Unless a married couple seeks counseling/advice..Stay out of their marriage.
Sarah Palin's conservatism speaks for itself, and it speaks to millions of women -- at home or in the office. I will take her version of "great service" to this country over the narrowminded definition hawked by Laura Schlessinger any day of the week.
I was being sarcastic. I see your fairly new here. Come over from DU did you?
She’s jealous.
