I will never vote for George McTaxIncrease. If he renounces his stance on guns and taxes, I will reconsider my position; otherwise, he will never receive my vote. Id rather suffer through four years of Clinton and vote for someone conservative when they lead the GOP ticket in 1996 than give my endorsement to a man who is just a tax-raising, gun-hating Rockefeller Republican. [The term "RINO" didn't exist in '92].
That worked SOOOO well in 1992, didn't it? Oh, and we're still living with it - Clinton appointed Ginsburg and Breyer, as well as hundreds of federal judges still on the bench.
I made my mistake in 1992; I won't repeat it, and I hope that you will learn from it. The lesson: vote your heart and hopes in the primaries, and vote for the least bad candidate in the General.
