Actually, Thatcher is one of two strong women leaders Britain has had. Queen Elizabeth I, the Virgin Queen, was a force to be reckoned with in the 1500’s!

To a lesser extent, Queen Victoria could also be considered a strong woman leader, although she was more of a figurehead by that time.
