I've done a fair share of public speaking, audiences as large as 2,500 or so. Can't say I enjoy the experience, but I can say if you are speaking on a topic you are passionate about, you don't need a teleprompter. Your passion, principles and values will speak for you when the time comes. Granted, the stakes were much higher for her and I am sure an aide would help her stay on track and cover all points. That said, when I see someone like Obama off teleprompter using excessive vocal bridges, repeating the same lines over and over, going back to his home plate "change you can believe in" repeatedly, I see a man with no principles, values or passion. He is simply acting; playing a role. As conniving as the Obama appearance on O'Reilly is tonight as it relates to timing. Bill O'Reilly can end the election tonight. If he asks some hard nosed questions, insists on getting a straight answer and Obama goes into the uhhh, well, "back when I was a Senator", etc. it will be incredibly damaging to place that in contrast between Palin's speech and John McCain's speech.

But BOR won’t. He’ll give a softball interview and let Obama lie and lie and lie. I will be surprised if he drills him on Wright, Ayers, Rezko, being against the surge after it worked, etc. BOR will let Barry skate.
I’ll be watching the RNC convention on C-SPAN.
