my utmost Congratulations to the United States Marines
of the 1st , 2nd and 3rd battalions of the 3rd Marine Regiment
for their part in this great progress.
Esp. to 2/3 who lost their beloved CO , LtC Max Galeai late last June , in the lead up to this day.
My deep thanks to The Lucky Red Lions , HMH -363 for all their wonderful and fearless flying support of all Marines on the ground.
And to all the countless other good Marines and U.S Army soldiers , over the years, who have fought and sometimes died on the streets and sands of formerly deadly al Anbar.

A special remembrance to GySgt Michael J. Clark U.S.M.C
EOD - KIA - July 20 , 2004
Mike you are a great American hero and you will NEVER be forgotten ....
