She's not got a great slugging average.
Nonetheless, she is an excellent writer. I wish she were as willing to critique Obama's inexperience.
It fascinates me that apparently average Americans are answering pollsters that they will indeed support Obama. I'm fascinated by the process by which Americans make up their minds on these things.
Is it just basic consumer behavior or is there something different about what respondents tell pollsters during telephone calls? In other words, is Obama doing a better job of selling his wares door-to-door, or is that "Who do you support for President" question one that short-circuits normal decision-making processes?
One must remember most of these "respondents" are at home in the daytime, using a landline rather than a cellular phone, and have the free time to answer a pollster's questions.
Hardly a good sample of your average American in 2008.
Actually, I have my suspicions about polls in USA 2008. I think they've finally tossed up their hands and are just making them up. It's cheaper and more profitable that way. And who's to blow the whistle on 'em?
I wish she'd just be honest and tell us exactly what she thinks, when she KNOW the mike is on.
