Noonan approached GW's people to be a speech writer for him. They declined her. After that happened, she went on a personal vendetta, like Scott McClellan, against GW. Since being turned down for a speech writer job that she wanted and pursued, she has never said a nice thing about GW on air or in print.
This current episode does not surprise me at all. Noonan thinks she is better than the rest of us. Noonan is a nasty, mean, condescending has been.

I personally think that the Bush team blew it. Peggy was pasionately for Bush. They should have had her in the loop, in some capacity.
Since then, many of us have observed her...how shall I put it...her cynicism.
