I think only about 10% of the Hillary voters are needed to result in a win for McCain/Palin. I don’t see 30% going that way. However, a lot of them might stay home, which is almost as good.

No, having them stay home is better. If they show up and vote for Palin, they will then likely vote Dem for the rest of the ballot. If they stay home, that helps us in all the other 2008 races.

Normally I would agree, but the behavior of a large portion of the Dem leadership has been so phenomenally offensive and revolting that we may have a new crop of GOP voters from the fallout. The crossover Dems may decide to vote out all the gross Dem incumbents. I just hope a little bit of Sarah rubs off on our old guard and they don't take the added support as license to waste our tax dollars as if they were Big Gov't Dems.
