Let me see if I can be more clear.

The only “official” response from the campaign, the RNC or any Republican official should be that this is a family matter.

I have no doubt that the blogs and some of talk radio will point out the hypocrisy. But I don’t see our need to get in the gutter with DailyKos to carry our message.

Your mileage may vary.

And FWIW, Sarah Palin is not going to be forced off the ticket.

The NYT ran three front page articles, hit pieces against Palin. This goes much deeper then the lunatics at Daily KOS.

Palin's position is strong, but being weakened under these attacks. A strong speech from her tonight will shut up her attackers.

On that I agree, but there are ways of bringing it up w/o attacking her directly, such as:

"The attacks against Sarah's children fall beyond the pale and should be off limits. Just as we have not discussed the arrests of our opponents children, they should not talk about our children."
