That is true. But Trooper Wooten's supervisor, Walter Monegan was fired by Palin allegedly because Monegan refused to fire Wooten. That is what the investigations in Alaska involving Palin are about.
While I don't like the press getting the information wrong, in this case I don't think their getting it right would be of any greater help to Palin. The outcome of those Alaskan investigations are due on October 31, four days before the election. This really could be a huge problem for McCain's campaign. I'm just saying...
I think the case can be made that the supervisor clearly was not doing their job.
