Nonsense! Good PR is the responsibilty of a good leader. It is simply communication. Bush has always suffered from his elitist background, which simply does not recognise a public “Need to Know”. He is doing what is best for us and we don’t really have to know any more than that.

“Indeed you can usually tell when the concepts of democracy and citizenship are weakening. There is an increase in the role of charity and in the worship of volunteerism. These represent the élite citizen’s imitation of noblesse oblige; that is, of pretending to be aristocrats or oligarchs, as opposed to being citizens.” — John Ralston Saul

Reagan understood communication and I think Palin does also, which is why I think grass roots conservatives are showing some real enthusiasm for the Republican Party. I do know that Palin is the only reason I’m considering voting for McCain this year.

Scarlet, although I agree with you about this evening and it was sooo exciting watching Sarah Palin tonight...so refreshing, and although I have disagreed with President Bush on a couple of major issues; I will stick up for this great man, with a decent heart, and strong character. I truly believe there is so much we do not know about what he has had to endure. I do not think he is an elitist and what he has suffered from has been the absolute hatred the MSM has had for him. No matter what he would have said to defend himself, he would have been lashed out at by these horrible people. These are different times, and I’m glad President Bush spent his time defending our Country rather than himself.
