RNC video of Medal of Honor recipient, Navy Seal Michael Monsoor, narrated by Gary Sinese
I’m just one of grateful Americans that salute and respond:
“Thank you.......roger that.”
(prayer for his family)
so did I...were his parents on hand by any chance???
I’ll withhold judgment until Matthew Modine weighs in on the issue.

DOVER, Del. - Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden received five student draft deferments during the Vietnam War and later was disqualified from service because of asthma as a teenager.
I was working on some stuff last night, so I caught bits and parts.
I don’t need much prompting, but the tribute reminded me of how brave these operators. I had read the Michael Monsoor story before and I watched Bush present the Medal of Honor to his parents and watched the President have tears stream down his face.
With lump in throat and a pride-filled chest, I felt the same way last night.
And, the pride even tops the idiocy that can be read on DU (and spoke on the MSM, sadly) making statements that it is sad to see this soldier being used as a prop. You f*cking people are a disgrace.
I mean this in the literal and biblical terms...
God Damn you people that defile this brave man with your cynicism.
Country First!! God rest his soul.
Michael is from my hometown, Garden Grove. My mother knows his family through her church. He’d been due to come home within weeks of his death.
We here in Orange County are so proud of this great, great man.
and the other Seals at his funeral putting thier tridents on his coffin and it being covered in them at the end
the left cares nothing for this individual outside of his adding to their morbid death count...
Agreed...
My uncle was a Green Beret in Vietnam, did 3 tours, was a POW, his dress greens were heavily decorated, and, despite whatever rivalries exist, he held SEALs in the highest esteem (or as he would say, “They are no f*cking joke.”)
My favorite part of the creed that these men live and die by: “A common man with uncommon desire to succeed.”
You don’t have to be a SEAL to live this in your life...but, that these men live this under the circumstances that they place themselves (and so you and I don’t have to)...well, it’s why they deserve honor upon honor.
