Looks good to me!

Both government and the private sector must do more to foster legally present immigrants integration into American life to advance respect for the rule of law and a common American identity.Uh oh. Tax money for integration? Why?

For the most part it sounds good. Now lets see how the politicians interpret it.

Of course do you really expect McCain would govern by that? I don’t.
To: calcowgirl
Looks good to me also for the reasons you stated.
But we’ve been down this road before.
So, pardon me, but I’ll believe when I see it, especially with John McAmnesty as POTUS.

So, when will I see my taxes go down and my grocery labels printed in English again? Certainly not during Hussein or McAmnesty’s reign.
To: bcsco
for the AFIRE ping list, looks like amnesty isn’t making it onto the platform

Tax money for integration? The more traditional term is 'assimilation', that is obliging immigrants to Americanize themselves, and abandon alien traditions. You have a problem with that?
To: calcowgirl
“we oppose amnesty”
What about an overnight pathway to citizenship? I think we’re being rooked here.

So all of a sudden they're anti-banana? More than likely, the few voices calling others "bigots" for not adopting open borders didn't go over too well.
Or the states that are rrunning deficits from all of the free benefits are finally getting fed up and they trounced those wanting to be so generous with taxpayers money.
