Here is an interesting discovery document, a memo in the lawsuit John Dean filed (and lost) vs the authors of Silent Coup. Why this was never checked out and brought to light is truly a wonder:

According to this early research, Sawyer’s code name in the callgirl ring was Ecdyiast. He also mentions John Dean’s future wife’s code name “Clout” in this memo.

I am sure this could be researched extensively by the online community to finally determine whether Diane Sawyer was indeed Ecdyiast as suggested by this document.
