"The audacity - it's a word that's somewhat in vogue now, along with 'change' and 'hope' and 'unity' - the audacity that Barack Obama is offering to us and to our children, the change that he is offering ... quite frankly, is socialism," Wilson told the breakfast crowd. Individual judgment is to be replaced with central planning. Taxes will skyrocket, and money will be taken from people who work for a living and given to people who don't.
"One thing we know for certain is that Barack Obama is going to have a massive tax increase were he elected president," Wilson said. "He would roll back the break of capital gains to discourage investment and job creation."
....
The biggest cheers of the morning came whenever the name of soon-to-be vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin was mentioned. Most interesting line abut Palin came from state party chairman Ron Nehring:
"I think we have found America's Margaret Thatcher."

Pete Wilson is a RINO who hates fiscally responsible conservatives. Don’t let his two-faced jive fool ya.
Wilson left Kali with a surplus, now they’re talking about a special tax on people leaving.
Did you bother reading what he said?
Wasn’t long before your predictable comment came. Even Wilson speaks the truth about Obuma.
Do you DISAGREE with Pete Wilson’s statement about Obama?
The biggest cheers of the morning came whenever the name of soon-to-be vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin was mentioned.

Love it! This is why they are trying to tear her apart.
Yup.

He didn’t fool me with Prop 187 or Prop 189.
I went to Office Depot today...They had a sale on DVDs...You know stuff that no one wants...2 for 1? In this discount bin was John McCain’s life story.. Faith of My Father....
I watched this and thought...My God, we do not know this man. We have no clue...yet we all need to learn from him.
Go to Office Deport tomorrow and buy the DVD... 9 dollars for two...Watch it and pass it on....
I’m sick to death at the small people still on this forum who continue to bad mouth McCain...I’ve come around... He’s a great American and we should be all proud that he is our candidate...
I have 60 days to promote this man...I’m tired of hearing the negatives from the bloggers here....You know who they are...
Let’s work to get our ticket elected...
* Pete Wilsons answer to tight budgetary times in Sacramento was to raise taxes on working families. ... He not only sided squarely with the liberal Democrat tax-raisers but also embarked on a jihad against conservative legislators brave enough to stand up to him and oppose increased taxes. He famously said, Conservatives are f------ irrelevant. ...
*Pete Wilson managed to ram his tax increases through the Democrat dominated legislature, but that wasnt enough for him. Like a spoiled child, he set out to punish Republican legislators who opposed raising taxes by recruiting primary opponents to them and other no new taxes GOP candidates in the 1992 primaries. ...
*Pete Wilsons tax-raising and wishy-washy liberalism nearly destroyed the Republican Party during his governorship. While he was the leader of the party, GOP representation in the assembly plunged from 41 members to 32. ...

And Petey’s 2-decade long jihad against Conservative Tom McClintock, sabotaging him at every turn, for statewide office and for his current Congressional run. He’d be quite happy to see the rodent beat him in this race.
What part of what Pete Wilson said are you having difficulty understanding.
Didn’t know Wilson was that bad. Sounds almost as bad as Lowell Weicker. (barf) Anyway, despite his moderate record, his remarks about Obama are on target. More Republicans should take his lead. Of course then they are excoriated as haters and extremists while the lefties can spew any kind of lies and viciousness while never getting called on it.
Well, don’t vote for him next time he runs for office.
However, make sure you distribute his remarks about Obama.
A flight attendant told me that he was gracious and kind and one of the smartest people she ever met.
Most people who can afford private jets don’t take the time to talk to crew on private jets, but he does.
This is NOT about Pete Wilson — he is NOT running for office.
It’s about McCain/Palin vs. Obama/Biden.
Whom do you support? Are you proposing voting for Obama, just because Pete Wilson is against him?
How did he try to fool you?
Are you nuts? Pete was one of the few governors that we’ve had that actually managed a decent budget. He had other liabilities, but his best success was with the budget.
