I Agree. None of this is any surprise to McCain. Very very shrewd on his part. I think He will make a fine CIC. Most Americans can relate to Palin’s family situation. How many people out there are without a child or a grand child because the mother took the easy way out? I became prolife when my own unmarried daughter had a child. She still isnt married but I cant imagine the world without my grandson. This whole thing makes me love Sarah and hate the Libtards even more.

I find very few that think this is a negative for McCain/Palin. The insane vitriol from the moonbats is evidence enough that they are sinking fast.
This all hits home for me at what seems a timely moment. I have three grown children from my first marriage. None of them have children yet, although they are all near 30. I remarried 6 years ago. My wife’s daughter is also close to 30. She gave birth on June 22 to a little girl, 8 weeks premature. Unmarried, premature birth, unstable current situation in life.
To make a long story short, my wife and I now have a ten week old baby girl under our roof. We are adopting the child, little Lillian. I just turned 55, two weeks ago and here I go raising another family. If someone had told me 3 months ago, this is where I would be today.....never in a million years would I have thought..........
Some things mjust happen and one has to “man up” and do the right thing. God bless you all and pray for McCain/Palin.

I can relate. My own wife had given up a child for adoption as a 17 year old 6 years before we met. She divulged this to me on our second date - it only caused me to fall in lover with her more easily. We married 3 years later, had two of our own. At about the time that he first son would turned 18, she began an adoption search in an attempt to locate him. The placement agency had led her to believe that he was on the other side of the country. As it turned out, he lived 20 miles south of us. His adoptive parents agreed to meet us and it has been a blessing ever since. He's a great kid, talented musician, and has only enriched our lives for the positive. And his adoptive parents were luckily very supportive of the reunion. He inspired my own son to take up percussion who is now the percussion section leader of our high school marching band. People like Sarah Palin help to reaffirm my faith in God because of our own experience. Conversely, I will never understand how a politician who is a champion of abortion ever inspires hope for people.
