I can relate. My own wife had given up a child for adoption as a 17 year old 6 years before we met. She divulged this to me on our second date - it only caused me to fall in lover with her more easily. We married 3 years later, had two of our own. At about the time that he first son would turned 18, she began an adoption search in an attempt to locate him. The placement agency had led her to believe that he was on the other side of the country. As it turned out, he lived 20 miles south of us. His adoptive parents agreed to meet us and it has been a blessing ever since. He's a great kid, talented musician, and has only enriched our lives for the positive. And his adoptive parents were luckily very supportive of the reunion. He inspired my own son to take up percussion who is now the percussion section leader of our high school marching band. People like Sarah Palin help to reaffirm my faith in God because of our own experience. Conversely, I will never understand how a politician who is a champion of abortion ever inspires hope for people.

I predict that Joe Biden will retract his VP offer within 24 hours citing newly discovered family responsibilities that prevent him from performing his job...
BIDEN’S SON IN FUND SUIT

Hedge fund executive Hunter Biden has had anything but a quiet introduction to his career in finance.
The 38-year-old son of Democratic vice presidential candidate Sen. Joe Biden is caught up in several lawsuits regarding the acquisition and operation of Paradigm Companies, an investment firm that operates a fund of funds - a hedge fund that invests in other hedge funds.
Biden also appears to be feuding with partner James Park, the son-in-law of the Rev. Sun Myoung Moon, Court papers show.
Biden, also a Washington lobbyist, took control of Paradigm in August 2006 and was, for a brief period, its president - getting paid $1.2 million a year despite no experience in the sector, according to charges in one of the suits.
Months later, Anthony Lotito, a consultant, sued Biden, James Biden, his uncle, and Paradigm for allegedly cheating Lotito out of fees related to the purchase. Biden has denied the charges and the suit is awaiting trial.
Biden was also sued by a former Paradigm executive over alleged unpaid compensation.
It was in the Lotito suit that Hunter Biden took a swipe at Park.
Biden, in a counter-claim against Lotito, charged the consultant with failing to inform him that Park had a drug problem.
Park, a Paradigm founder and chief investment officer, “used illegal substances on a regular basis,” and was an “absentee manager,” it is alleged in court papers.
The Washington lobbyist also claimed in court papers that he and his uncle only agreed to work with Park after “[Park] completed rehabilitation in Florida.”
Biden never provided any proof of the allegation and the counter-claim was dismissed.
Park didn’t return requests for confirmation.

Now be honest,, how many folks amongst us got a DUI once when we were young.... especially before the policy against such changed in the 1980s; I didn't. But I have driven so drunk I used to say I could drive while throwing up. I said that because I did.

I predict that Sarah Palin will within 48 hours retract her offer to run as McCains Vice President citing newly discovered family responsibilities that prevent her from performing the job. And I think you have just exposed yourself as being the idiot you sound like with that comment. McCain knew about her Daughter, the rest of the BS going around the net about her is just that:BS. She has no family responsibilities that will keep her from doing the VP job. She will NOT resign, McCain and Palin will be our next President and VP, take it to the bank.
