I don't approve of what Obama said a few months ago, but I have to give him the thumbs up for his response to Bristol Palin’s pregnancy. Obama’s denunciation of making candidates’ children the focus of gossip, as well as his pointing out that his mother was 18 when she had him, were impressive. Let's give the devil his due and laud Obama for taking the high road.

I applaud him on his response today. I just wanted to point out that, were it one of his daughters, he would consider that grandchild punishment for a mistake.
