She did the right thing.
Joseph had his concerns, but he came around when God spoke to his heart about what he really believed.

Mary was not quite “unwed” at the time of the Conception. She was “betrothed” which then and in many cultures now is the first formal part of being wed and babies conceived during the betrothal period are just as “legitimate” as babies conceived after the final ceremony. Betrothal is/was, in fact, just as hard to get out of as Marriage proper and requires “divorce.”
Read back through the thread. You’ll see that’s been the topic of discussion for some time.
