I was 17 not very long ago, and can relate to the young woman whose face seemed so forlorn in the news photos.
Control over her own destiny must seem like it’s been snatched away by her mother’s destiny. Private life, out the window. Just as she takes her first independent steps out of the nest, there’s a horde of reporters who will not go away for at least four years, possibly many more. And they’re not fans of hers.
She didn’t ask for this, and at 17 she must be overwhelmed.
On top of that, a baby on the way.
It must seem like the world just got whacked right out of orbit.
Bristol, I’m sorry that nearly half the country is made up of asses. Please know that the rest of us wish you all the best, and keep you in their prayers.
Well said.
Ditto.
Amen.
Bless you, Honey. Your post made more sense than all the handwringers in here and brought tears to my eyes. Of course you are right.
