That would be a good idea if you want John McCain to lose. Flaunting an unwed teenage mother is not a way to win conservative votes. Plus what a strain on this irresponsible girl who is too young to be either a competent mother or able to handle the strain of a rough presidential campaign.
Any word on the proud papa? One FR thread shows a 16 year old black dude. On another site a Levi Johnston, 18, was mentioned. He is listed on MySpace. I don't visit that site.

Bingo. This is another McCainism. We thought we were being given a conservative that we could stand behind, but of course, McCain had to get the last laugh.
If character matters any more, I don't think someone that decides to quit parenting just when their 17 year old needs the most guidance has character. (A VP will not have time for much family interaction, not to mention uprooting them.) That's putting their career first. And encouraging teenagers to keep a baby is irresponsible if the grandparents won't take on the raising of the baby. Adoption to a stable, intact home is in the best interest of the little one.
I think McCain thought we'd be happy that there's 2 instances of pro-life being shown with this family. But another issue is that once a child is brought into the world, their welfare should be first priority. Teenage parents and grandparents out of the picture because of their careers and nonstop press coverage aren't good for the child.
