“Pregnancy is not a crime,”

Neither is putting your hand in a chipper.

“Pregnancy is not a crime,

Neither is putting your hand in a chipper.”

Excellent analogy. Now, if your 17 year old daughter put her hand in a wood chipper, would you allow her to bleed to death while you berated her for her bad judgment, or maybe paraded her around the other neighborhood kids while shouting “See kids, this is what happens when you don't listen to your parents!”, or would you help her get the medical and mental attention and support she needed to move forward with her life?

Just asking.

What type of analogy are you trying to make here? Your reply might make more sense if the posting said, "Abortion is not a crime", where you are losing something precious in both situations.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but your postings on this thread seem to have a "holier than thou" mentality. Today, at 17, she has been exposed to more than many of us were in our mid 20's. In a few months, she would be eligible to serve her country in the Armed Forces. I hardly believe she should be shunned because of the situation her and her husband to be (and parents) are in.

The democrats know better than to make a point of this issue. There are millions of single mothers, many being minorities in our cities, that can identify with Bristol. They would be wise to tread very lightly here.

Regarding your statement about McCain making "bad" decisions...Teddy Roosevelt said something about the "Man in the Arena" that might make good reading.
