Chelsea Clinton was born February 27, 1980. She was 18 when this was posted.
This reference (toward the bottom of the page) is dated May 1, 1999, although if you look at the name of the web page in the URL, it's actually dated 9/15/98 (19980915.html). It was posted as "humor" so I cite it here only to show how far back these cruel claims go. Well over 10 years.
This one is also dated 1999. It also takes a "humorous" swipe at the, by then, years-old cruel tales about Hubbell and Chelsea.
These nasty claims are based solely on Chelsea's looks. However, she looks NOTHING like Hubbell. She looks almost like a clone of her maternal grandmother. These scurrilous claims have been all over FR for many years. If you enter these search terms in Google, you'll get five pages of FR links to posts that talk about Hubbell and Chelsea, the vast majority of them from this year alone.

FR first came online sometime in mid-1997. I don't know the month. Chelsea Clinton was 17, a high school kid. She would not turn 18 until Feb. 1998. The crap about Hubbell being her father pre-dated the birth of FR, but it was gleefully picked up by FR posters and many have run with it ever since. It hasn't stopped for over 10 years here on FR. Now that the Palins are on the receiving end of equally cruel garbage from the Left, too many here want to feign innocence about what's been done to Chelsea.

I agree with you. Okay, i am probably going to make a lot of mistakes here since i am a newbie:
well, freerepublic has evolved from a ‘right wing nut’ site, to something respectable. Whatever ancient history there was, at least for the past few years, the admin, and in fact, many here, have been civil and promoting civility. Posts that are way overboard, whether based on republican or democrat opinions, are taken down.
Compare that to the leftie boards. Do they even police their own liberal posts? They only take down Conservative posts... And take note on how every single one of them always jump on the occasional liberal who is trying to tell them to not be raving moonbats.
To illustrate: see the posts about Obama’s stand on the attacks on the Palins.
Some are wary of his intentions (totally legitimate), and some are trying to show that he has some form of class.
If this were like DU or DKos, the posts suggesting that Obama (Bush) has some form of integrity would have been removed and slammed for being ‘left wing’ (right wing) propaganda. And this would be encouraged by the admins and moderators over there.
