The One and The One with The One are deeply saddened.
Casualties in Iraq should further drop month to month as our responsibilities decrease in the country. Hopefully Iraq is on pace to become UAE.

What page of the New York Times will this article appear on?
“Casualties in Iraq should further drop month to month as our responsibilities decrease in the country. Hopefully Iraq is on pace to become UAE.”
That would be wonderful all around. I still wish General Patton was leading the WOT.
I finally decided what I want my tagline to be but appears to be too long for the space.
“There is only one tactical principle which is not subject to change. It is to use the means at hand to inflict the maximum amount of wound, death, and destruction on the enemy in the minimum amount of time.”
- General George Patton Jr
a truly wonderful and historic day
ari-freedom, I second that sentiment.

Well, Ma, it’s just hard to comprehend. After all the years and losses and heartache, we give them the keys and say “We fixed it up as best we can. Drive it, it’s good to go”.
It’s a far cry from the times when I would talk to Gold Star Moms about them getting yet another piece of their boy back, months later. Some will forget, but not you and I. Our investment is paying off. We shall not waver.

We’ve got them out of diapers, got them walking, and they’ve been riding on training wheels. We are removing the training wheels, but we’re still running alongside.
We’ve left pieces of ourselves.
They will not fail. They’ve got a lot to think about.
If they look like they’re going to waver, I know a girl just might go smack them upside the head and pull their bootstraps up so high they’ll beg for mercy. She owes somebody a wedgie and one of these days she’ll be looking to pay it back however she can : ) In the meantime, she’s taken to hangin’ with the big dogs (as far as I’ll allow : ) taken some lessons from mama- taken over cooking for the jarheads... and lovin’ it.
