Depending what happens in the years ahead, Sarah Palin might be a Republican presidential candidate. Hillary Clinton has considered it her birthright to be the first woman president. Maybe Sarah Palin is destined to break that glass ceiling instead. It’s possible in 2016 that Sarah Palin could be running against Hillary in the general election.

You figure that most women, or men for that matter, aren’t the hard core liberal/radical types. Many people will be inspired and admire Sarah. The same people who just couldn’t identify with Hillary Clinton, or want to see her as the first woman president, might just want to see someone like Sarah Palin become America’s first woman president someday.

Hillary will be almost 70 in 2016. Hillary is done. She might have a shot in 2012, but I doubt she could even get the nomination.

Sarah may not know it yet. But the Republican party is now her party. and it will be for the next 4 to 16 years. She is setting off a “JFK” kind of excitement. Something that Hillary could not do. Something that Obama can only do in his dreams.

Like JFK and Reagan, she has that glow to her.
