Good for you! I’ve had similar experiences in our family. Grandparent with Alzheimer’s, only my mom stepped up to take responsibility and provide home care, while the rest were campaigning for the cheapest nursing home available. When my mom’s health failed and she needed help, I put everything on hold and undertook to care for her. You only get one mother (and I got the very best!). Every day is precious.
Yet people question, and marvel at what they call sacrifice.

As for Palin, the liberals are truly flummoxed by her ability to “walk the walk” of pro-life, by her regarding her baby as a blessing from God. It’s only been two days, and the devils aren’t quite organized against her yet. She needs our prayers. It’s going to get a lot rougher.

Yes, I agree about the prayers for the Palins.

My favorite is Isaiah 54:17 - No weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue that is raised against you is condemned already.

My mom had cancer, not alzheimers, but I went to live with her for several months until she passed away. I don’t regret one second of it. She was worth it.
