I hope the economy IS an issue, and that Sarah Palin makes it one. She can very effectively argue that the Democrats are the ones standing in the way of lower energy costs. If some other people tried, they be brushed off as “out of touch stupid white males”.
I think that’s one of the best things about this pick. Even if it happens on no other subject, I think she’s going to rip Biden absolutely to shreds on energy policy during the debates and it will resonate with voters. Her state is on the front lines of the entire domestic energy debate.
