I think the fourth may be how McCain is viewed in relation to Gustav. Let's face it, Bobby Jindal is the Gov. of Louisiana and he is already on it and I am sure McCain will be on the ground and in the know. If Gustav's evac and response is appropriate, Dems will have to keep talking about Katrina and look like they are living in the past.
Hopefully the storm will not be what Katrina was, because I think it is important for Gov Palin to address the delegation as well as Senator McCain, but this may give the American people an opportunity to see how both would react in a crisis, which may be more compelling than a teleprompter delivered speech.
We have a President, and his last name is Bush, not McCain. If Senator and presidential candidate McCain wants to do something to display leadership, he should call for a special session of Congress to pass some useful legislation to assist the victims.
Or maybe everybody should get out of the way and let the emergency people do their jobs.
