Nonsense. It shows that they cared enough to do the right thing if that's what happened. It's not as if many first babies come a little earlier than nine months.

Sara Palin makes many of liberal mores uncomfortable by showing them the alternative route to children out of wedlock and uncontrolled sex. Now, there's nothing wrong with sex, and the Palins think so, with five children! However, playing around with sexual ‘freedom’ can backfire spectacularly, as members of my family have learned to their dismay.

She serves as a reproach to the ‘anything goes’ crowd.

There is a tiny bit of hypocrisy here. The notion that folks should be married before having children is still a good one. Sarah's human failing, as it would be, is she did it with her fiancee. Big deal. It's not like John Edwards doing it with a campaign worker.
