On a plane from Denver to Charlotte following the Democrats' convention, I found myself seated behind former National Chairman of the Democratic National Committee Don Fowler and Congressman John Spratt of South Carolina. Their conversation was interesting to say the least.
For example, they made fun of Sarah Palin for several minutes, Fowler calling her "Dan Quayle" on steroids and Spratt creatively describing her as "just terrible." They both agreed that, "Other than the simple fact that she's a female," she has nothing to offer.
Then there was this gem of a moment from Fowler:
So you see, it's funny. That New Orleans will get a hurricane. That's funny because it is due to hit when President Bush is scheduled to speak. Isn't that cool? Fowler isn't the only one who thinks so, just ask Michael Moore.
We all know Democrats used and use Katrina as a political football as callously as possible. Here's a candid moment showing some can hardly wait for another one.

We can bet them in the market place of ideas. True conservatism works everytime it’s tried.
It is a comfort to know though, that if it ever comes to that dreadful scenario and we have a civil war...Conservatives are armed to the teeth and know how to shoot....LOL

Slightly off topic. If Obama gets in the very first thing will be the reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine. Very first. Next will be the internet. Stamp out our speech under the guise of fairness. It will happen if he gets in office.

I’m sure the rats will stay up all night to get the right talking point out to the masses to defend this jackass’ remarks. Fowler is probably right now preparing a lawsuit against whoever recorded it for “violating his privacy”. Maybe he can get some advice from Newt about having his privacy violated.
You have no expectation of ‘privacy’ in a public place. it will never fly in court.
It’s out there now and there is nothing he can do about it....LOL
Bobby Jindal should immediately demand an apology and resignation from Fowler.
