Well let’s see...so far Gustav killed 74 people as a tropical storm and Cat 1 hurricane. It will be hitting populated cities with Category 4 winds at landfall on Monday afternoon.

The worst part of the storm is forecast to be over major populated areas. People will again lose everything they own and the storm is forecast to stall just as it crosses over land with up to 30 inches of rain expected.

Tragedy? Crisis?

You bet.

Tragedy? Crisis?

Not for me...But it certainly will be for the folks in the hurricane's path...

The worst part of the storm is forecast to be over major populated areas.

There will never be a "Tragedy" or "Crisis" like Katrina because there are no other cities dumb enough to be situated on the coasts, below sea level AND have STUPID elected offices like New Orleans or Louisiana.

Even if New Orleans is hit again the population pre Katrina has never returned. And people died not because of the winds but because Lake Pontchartrain swelled by rainfall and the ill conceived, poorly built and poorly maintained levees broke, drowning the few too stupid to leave.
