I'm sure McCain chose Palin for self serving reasons. She can bide her time and play the cynical game until after the election. If McCain wins, so does she. she need not be his stooge. In any case, the thought of a 76 year old guy running is not particularly appealing. If she isn't seduced to the “dark side”, there is a chance. They call her barracuda. That is not, necessarily a bad thing. As long as she is principled.

I like “barracuda’ as a nickname. I remember the U.N. delagates thought they would have a walkover when Eleanor Roosevelt was chosen to head the committee which drafted the Declaration of Universal Human Rights. Instead the U.N. ended up with a much more embarrassing document than they planned, because she managed them.
