As a result of yesterday's stunning news about Sarah Palin, the next Vice President of the United States, many Freepers have decided to contribute to the McCain campaign.
TODAY is the LAST day that you can contribute to the McCain campaign. Tomorrow, public financing (ugh!) kicks in and they cannot accept donations any more.
If you want to participate, do it TODAY.
I thnk tomorrow is the 31st, we can donate anew after the convention.
As president, John McCain will always put his country first above all else. He has done so his entire life. Everyone agrees- Republicans and Democrats alike- that he has the experience and judgment to serve as our next Commander in Chief. Now we need to elect him on November 4th. Will you do your part today? Will you follow this link to make a financial contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or more before our fundraising deadline on August 31st? Thank you.
Sincerely,
Rick Davis
Campaign Manager
P.S. We're quickly approaching an important deadline. On August 31st, our campaign will no longer be able to accept your primary contribution. And as we face an opponent with a huge financial war chest, any amount you give right now will help secure a victory as we head into our own Convention. Please join the constantly growing group of supporters - of all party affiliations- who say, "John McCain is ready to lead." Thank you.
Same here, there is much not to like about Mad John, seriously, but with a Alinsky Neo Marxist on one side, and Pallin on the other, the choice was clear.
I also reupped my NRA membership.
Yes, but what a headline! What a way to discourage the Dems!
Yikes!
But I just donated because of Palin.
----------------------------------------------------------
I thought he was going to nominate a RINO, so I wasn't even going to vote for McCain. Now I will contribute to him and vote for him.
So did I...and I swore I wasn't going to do it.
So did I swear, but I figure if America can ally with Soviet Union to defeat Nazi Germany, I can't go wrong helping McCain defeat Obama. I don't have to like McCain.
Thanks for the link.
We’re in for $100.
If you told me six months ago I’d be donating to McCain I’d have called you a liar.
Just donated. Had no plans to do so at all, until yesterday. In the referral box, I put “Sarah Barracuda!”
Finally, something to get excited about.
Regards, HW
Can you write a check and mail it Tuesday? Also, can you donate after he excepts the position?

You may already know that McCain has decided to accept federal matching funds for the final months of this campaign- keeping a campaign promise he made. But that means that August 31st marks the last day he can accept your primary contribution.

After the 31st donate to the GOP Victory site.
>> make sure you indicate that you were referred by a FRiend named Sarah Palin.
DAMN! Wish I’d read your post before I mashed the button.
Oh well, considering the timing, they’ll figure it out.
Same here. Sarah Palin has made a big difference already. Watching the hysterical shreiks by the libs in reaction shows McCain made the right choice!
No.

So after that date, do we donate to the RNC for them or what?
It’s actually the last day for primary contributions. I believe we can still donate for the general after that. But it’s a great impetus to affirm the Palin pick, and I made my donation yesterday.

So to clarify: the McCain campaign cannot accept contributions at all after today, whether designated for the primary or general election "cycle," correct?
