FK: Jefferson attended regular Sunday Christian services as VP and President in the Capitol Building itself. Do you think that would be allowed today?

You can pray anywhere, FK. You can bring a priest into a room, close the doors and have a service, unless there is a specific law that says no prayers on government property. But be aware that allowing something that is by all standards a private activity should not be something done on government time.

If you are worried about government time then you should vote against all liberals because they support the invocation given every day in both houses of Congress. Of course conservatives support the tradition too, but you seem already disposed to vote against conservatives.

If someone wants to have a prayer during lunch, I don't see a problem. But if they want to pray on government time and get paid with taxpayers' money to pray, I would call that abuse.

This is the kind of thinking that leads to total bans of God because of "possibilities". The ACLU and the right Reverend Barry Lynn are cheering you on in your statement. I and those who agree with me are over here. You and the ACLU are over there.

You are shooting from the hip, FK. Taxpayers should not pay anyone for their private activities, whether it be sufing the net or praying.

I don't understand why "your" side cannot stick to facts but has to invoke lables amd slander when arguing. To me that only shows that you lack any real argument and must resort to mud-slining to make a point.

My question is: why can't our Congressional primadonnas pray at home as soon as they get up rather than having someone hired to read prayers for them? There is no need for daily invocations. That's just plain ridiculous (and Pharisaical).
