Yeah, and young mothers give birth to Downs Syndrome babies every day. Right. I’d like to see the statistics of the percentage of DS babies born to young mothers as opposed to DS babies born to mothers over the age of 40. The only problem is, you would have to use statistics from a couple of decades ago, as the number of DS babies has dropped significantly because their mothers are aborting them.
I thought the same thing. DS is more common in mothers over 40.
I’ve only known of one Downs baby born to a fairly young woman. We have a downs boy in our church and she just lost her husband. She’s probably in her 40’s now. She had two older girls and then this little sweetie. He’s a delight.
