If this country were run by Christian ethics and Biblical mandate, it would not turn a blind eye to any Christian being murdered anywhere, neither Kosovo, Rwanda nor Watts.

This is an imperfect world and an imperfect system of government. That does not mean we shouldn't try to govern as consistently and morally as possible in all matters.

But what hope is there if we don't even try? If we give up the fight to the secular world before we've even entered the ring?

“But what hope is there if we don’t even try?”

You are of course absolutely right in what you say. Clearly this country, which presides over the destruction of Eastern Christian communities in so many locations is not run by Christian ethics yet, yet, it is supported most vociferously by the evangelical Christian right! It seems to me then that as Christians we should not be divided by manipulative politicians, whether Democrats or Republicans, but rather we should be demanding that this government, starting with its foreign policy, immediately cease its depredations against our coreligionists east of the Adriatic. That’s where we have to start.
