Hey Bill, way to go. It confirms that you're a no class a-hole.

You can read Mr. Burton's marriage, here Laura Capps and Bill Burton

Two lefties in love. She's a media wonk for Ted Kennedy. Lol. A real champion for women there.

What nasty people ... he probably recruited the “aide” from the Daily Kos or something. I guess he’s too junior in the Senate to have a Content-Free Sentence Generator, and too dumb to think up fifteen words to say, “Oh, how interesting!” until they thought of something better.

I’d counter the “Change” slogan with “Direction”. We don’t need change, we need direction and that only comes through “Leadership”!

One local conservative talk show host refers to Obama as the best speech reader in the U.S.

The syndrome has regrettably progressed to an advanced stage. He has moved from morning after regret to same day regret.

Obama ... the best speech reader in the U.S.

Perhaps he should replace Katie Couric.

I was just doing that. I'd be cranky if I were supporting another candidate who's going down in flames :-).

According to the AP, Obama "blamed the mixed messages about McCain's choice, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, on campaign aides with a "hair trigger."

So basically, he's exactly what I though. An empty suit that has no thoughts of his own and just says what they tell him to, when they tell him too.

Barry can barely speak if he doesn't have a prepared speech in front of him. This needs to be shown front and center.

That comment is why I don't think it was a "hair trigger" response by the Obama campaign. It was a carefully calibrated insult. Palin's mayoral stint was at least two jobs back on her resume (and she has a resume, unlike some others.) BUT, had the Obama spokesman denigrated the size of Alaska (population-wise) by referring to her as the governor of a small state - he would have been backhanding Biden as well, because he is only 1 of 2 senators from a state of the same size population.

This excitement by the Obama camp to seize on Palin's supposed lack of experience at VP to try to neutralize Obama's lack of experience at the top of the ticket is a loser for the O camp. To make the point stick, they have to keep inferring that McCain is about to die or become incapacitated. I don't think that will play well with the seniors who vote in high numbers.

And, indirectly, by highlighting the point that inexperience at VP is a bad thing, it makes one think how really bad inexperience at the top slot must be.

They said what they did first and foremost. We know what they said. They know what they said. They can’t take it back. VP Palin will remember it also. Let them sing on....just sit back and smile. VP Palin is perfectly capable of dealing with this kind of attack. She’s the one! She isn’t whining about being the girl in the race. Go Sarah!!!

From a PUMA and Hillary supporter.

"Yet another reason why Hillary ought to have been the Democratic Nominee. Despite having 85,000 adults and children at the Barackopolis in Denver last night, John McCain’s selection of Sarah Palin this morning completely and totally knocked Obama’s amaglamation of empty rhetoric speech from the front pages of all the major news sites this morning. MSNBC’s Headline was: McCain introduces Palin as running mate CNN’s Headline was: McCain picks Palin for Vice President Fox News Headline was: McCain Picks Woman Gov of Alaska for VP I’m sure you get the picture. Sad as I am to say, experience does count. McCain has totally owned dominated the news cycle for the next 3 days, proving yet again that Obama is better suited for being a professor of speech at State U than a Presidential candidate for a major party. Afterthought: Compare this with the disaster that was Obama’s botched 3 AM announcement of Joe Biden as his running mate, and it becomes even clearer that Obama does not have what it takes to play in the big leagues."

Sweet!

Yes. The more we get to know him (even with all his baggage aside) he seems like a snobbish jerk. The left deserves him, the United States doesn’t.

"What does it say about Barack Obama that he has surrounded himself with these kind of aides?"

It says that Barry is an empty suit surrounded by morons.

the agenda of Big Oil

Ah, could I ask, what agenda of big oil we are speaking of. The one that discovers oil and gas underground when given locations to explore?

The one that refines crude oil into usable products to sell around the world. Sales resulting in tax revenue in the billions of dollars.

Good paying jobs by the zillions, that generate tax revenue for government in the billions of dollars.

A distribution system second to none, that insures the US of A does not run out of the stuff that has been fueling our economy for over a hundred years, that folks are now calling an addiction.

A group of companies enjoying record profits and we might add record tax generation, while employing Americans and at the same time creating more jobs and wealth for the American people and nation, all the while being vilified for doing what every other industry would like to be doing.

Being railroaded by congressional idiots to fork over your hard earned dollars to provide government subsidies to competing industries that would fall on their face if there were no subsidies.

Just to name a few, which one of these is the Agenda of Big Oil you moron.

and of course the Arrowhead1952 disclaimer, just in case you have any of the “hair trigger” tendencies we are discussing.
