I donated today as well, for the first time. More than the $$, I wanted the McCain camp to see my donation as a big thumbs-up to their VP choice as well as to the way they are running the campaign. I never dreamed I’d be sporting a McCain shirt nor pounding stakes in my front yard for a McCain sign, but I am.

TX, thanks for the link. I had heard about all those supposed angry Pro-Hillary voters, but I didnt really believe it. But that site, WOW. I am actually stunned. There is rancor there I haven't seen since, well since some FR threads here about illegal immigration :) I did not know the depths to which the BHO contingent stooped in its treatment of Hillary and her supporters. Them gals is fightin MAD AS HELL, and I don't blame them.

Right now, sites like that have GOT to be scaring the living FECES out of BHO and company. The Palin pick is an absolute Game Changer..

This is an interesting quote.

“This is a great pick for all of us that saw what the DNC did to women within their party. I love that McCain did listen and went after our votes. That says a lot about the man!”

If a lot of women feel like this, then they don’t feel pandered to. They feel as if McCain listened to them and worked for their votes. I guess that plays against that they feel Obama didn’t listen to them and disrespected them.

Blew me away too. We've been listening to the DNC downplay the HRC supporters and today it really hit me how bad they have screwed up. 18 million people is a lot to toss under the bus.

Best line I saw on there was

That tingle Chris Matthews felt running down his leg today was his urine when he found out McCain pick Palin.

If either the RNC or the McCain team is paying attention, they will offer Car Magnets in addition to the old-style Bumper Stickers.

My wife has never wanted HER parked car to be targeted by “liberal Vandals”. Yet, She wants to Drive with a McCain-Palin sign

I just checked the link to Hillary’s site and the women there are going absolutely crazy over McCain’s pic of Palin for VP.

I have to admit...I was disturbed when McCain took out my candidate (Thompson) that there were no conservatives left that represented me.

Now...I am so excited that I actually donated to the McCain campaign. He just sent Barry back to being a freshman Senator again...

With credit to one of Hillary’s gals I happily change my tagline

I just sent $100. My second $100. I was disappointed that my name didn’t show up on opensecrets.org after my first contribution. You gotta give $200 to make that cut.

Need we say more. She is our lady. She has the compassion and heart to resond in any situation. You cannot compare her to the ex-presidents wife. Thank you Mrs. Palin. Thank you McCain for choosing Mrs. Palin to run with you as Vice Pres. You have our vote here in PR, Idaho.

I believe we only have until August 31st (Sunday) to give him money. Can any one else confirm this or know why? Does it have to do with the public money?

Heck and she didn’t even have a Britney Spear’s power set designer set her up a Mt Olympusstage. Girlfriend just had the background of real Americans behind and in front. When a gifted speaker speaks the truth this is all they need.

If a lot of women feel like this, then they don’t feel pandered to.

Attention Free Republic: Pandering works. People love being pandered to. Pandering says, "I am listening to you, and have made you a priority." For instance:

1. John McCain picked a conservative to pander to conservatives.

2. John McCain picked a woman to pander to women.

John McCain is no more a conservative than he is a woman, but he's recognized that both fields hold a rich treasure of votes. He's put everything on the line to bring in those two groups, even though he'd have been just as happy with male, liberal Joe Lieberman.

So, big props for McCain for chasing the voters that feel neglected. It's good politics. But let's be honest; pandering only sucks if you're not the one getting the attention. Let's enjoy the fact that McCain understands who's buttering his bread and putting him in office, and not be too harsh on the pandering label.
