Wow her brother-in-law sounds like a guy Obama would love...using a taser on a child. Maybe he thought it was just a late term abortion. Sounds like a Democrat to me.

Your company’s union thugs wives sleep with Republicans. Bet they didn’t know that, but it’s true ~ union members women folk are notorious for such behavior.

Monegan was the Commissioner of Public Safety, which means he was in an appointed position. Commissioners usually serve at the pleasure of the Governor. They usually don't have Civil Service status. The article said he was former Chief of the Anchorage Police Dept., which means he either retired from that position and moved into the Public Safety office, or was picked by the Governor to fill the State Commissioner's slot and left his employment with the city. Palin fired him, and it appears that this is all going on because he is fighting his removal. And, he's claiming his reason for removal was because he didn't fire the trooper. I highly doubt that Gov. Palin would fire this guy unless she had a good reason to, and has documentation to prove all his shortcomings. It has nothing to do with the confidentiality of police employment records. It has everything to do with this Commissioner's performance on the job and the possible mismanagement which led to his being canned.
Does anyone know which Governor it was that hired him in the first place?

Where is the proof? Acucsations without proof are not news Since when is proof a requirement for the left bring charges against a Republican? Remember Lucy Ramirez?

Nonsense. Palin has much better aim than Cheney.

“Perhaps you should look into what REALLY happened before assuming that these lies and fabrications have any merit whatsoever!”
With just over 60 days till the election, what “really” happened is not a matter to the libs ... only what they think they can make the American public BELIEVE happen in a negative sense. This is the “media's” Modus operandi. Facts are unimportant to them ... you should know that by now.
To: muawiyah
“Won’t happen. The story is about Alaska, a whacked out state trooper, a multi-husband rugged backwoods woman, and intrafamily brutality and violence.”
I hope your right.

It has nothing to do with the confidentiality of police employment records. Not true.

True.
There were additional issues with the comissioner, he refused to accept the budget cuts Palin imposed from the Legislature. He was publicly insubordinate and he refused to discipline and control an out of control cop. There were other issues as well, and a long time line, Palin was Mayor when this started and Governor when she invoked the "service at her pleasure" that you correctly concluded she had.

I also hear that the Slimes has a story about a lobbyist that some unnamed source thought they overheard two other guys in a bar talking about what one guy's roomate said to his girlfriend's roomate at a party last weekend that she might have been in the elevator with McCain's aide once.
That's proof positive that McCain deals with lobbyists all the time.
But, they need to dedicate all their resources in proving this true so they can't investigate Obama’s ties to domestic terrorism.

Some good information here:
http://www.adn.com/monegan/story/492964.html
WHY PALIN FIRED MONEGAN Monegan was a Palin appointee, and she had a right to fire him for any reason. She's previously refused to say exactly why she got rid of him, but laid out several reasons Wednesday, saying she's decided to talk about it because Monegan is.
Palin said he wasn't doing enough to fill state trooper vacancies and battle alcohol abuse issues. She said he "did not turn out to be a team player on budgeting issues."
Palin said it's fine to have debates during cabinet meetings over the budget but Monegan went further and indicated to legislators she wasn't proposing enough spending. Palin's acting chief of staff, Mike Nizich, said Monegan asked legislators for spending that hadn't been authorized by the governor.

Thank you, I had tried to make a “nutshell” invalidation of these charges. The situation is very complex in it's entirety.

She has an 80% approval rating as governor of Alaska.
Will the people of Alaska allow this sham of a circus to play out? Impeachment? Really?

Our resident Church lady, she's a Saint and all, suggested Mrs. Palin was being punished because she had a retarded child. I had to ask how she knew this and her response was classic- because any woman that would willingly deny the rights of others will be punished by God. I told her I read that too in I'SAYA chapter 2 verse 2. Lord help us. Hate is the driving force behind Liberals and their buds the terrorists of the world.

"She never directly asked me to fire him," Monegan said. Washington Post making up things again? I'm shocked!
