A twofer, in that it pokes the dem-o-rat/feminazi/womyn types in the eye for passing over hildabeast.
A two-fer in that respect. The "woman" vote ties into the fact that Obama didn't choose Hillary as a VP.
I still say three-fer, overall.
After the Biden pick, I halfway expected McCain to counter with a black atheist lesbian in an attempt to out-liberal the liberals in extremis. ;)
I guess we get what we deserve in the realm of politics. Or do we?

''I donÂt recall her getting this much adoration on FR as a possible GREAT VP pick that she is getting now that she is the pick''
she was getting LOTS of FR attention - hence this was not a huge surprise for me today

I’m relieved that McCain didn’t pick Romney. I am not a big fan of RINOs.

Savage hubris is in full gear.
Infallibility is not his strength.

I was concerned about the same thing (Lieberman).
That would have been a major disaster.

C'mon now give Checkers his due, he's a good chess player, as I guess McCain is also, today's move by Checkers a good one serving his Savage hating agenda.
Doesn't take much to mis-lead desperate conservatives off of a cliff, especially when they're emotional like many are about this Palin pick. Savage keeps his wits about him when all around him everyone is losing theirs, thank God for his show today.

The Constitution does not say “Commander-in-chief of the free world”: it says “commander in chief of the army and navy of the United States”. If she has common sense, she could handle the job and call upon help as needed. I don’t see how she could do worse than B.C. or GWB. Still, I fear that she may not respond sharply to the Oprah attacks coming.

If the McCain camp could have, they would have. I sincerely doubt that Palin was McAmnesty's first--or second, or third--love as a VP candidate.

Isn’t Stevens opposed to Palin: he could vote Democrat this year?

Infallibility is not his strength. None of us have that advantage either, no matter what the Pope may claim.

Turd Stevens? He's certainly in line with Democrats on spending and corruption, isn't he?

Thank you.
I haven’t read the post or the thread. I just saw your comment and had to comment. Savage doesn’t get the love because he doesn’t fall to his knees and worship at the Republican Party altar. He will point out when the GOP screws us and you should know that that is not allowed. ;-)

Obama: "I move Biden over here, the experience vote, check."
McCain: "I move Palin over here, the disenchanted Hillary voters and worried conservative base vote, checkmate!" (MAYBE)
To: dynachrome
That’s why I think it’s a bit stinky that Savage wishes Romney had gotten the VP nod.

I doubt Savage would recognize that whenever this nation has needed leadership in difficult times, it has invariably found it in seemingly unlikely places and people.
The Obama camp shot from the hip within moments of her announced selection and Savage 'savages' her less than 12 hours later. Savage may have to eat his words. Being the wine aficionado, he might want select a fine Merlot to accompany his future meal.

Obama: "I move Biden over here, the experience vote, check."
The experience and white working-class vote, which is why Hillary wouldn't have made the cut.
McCain: "I move Palin over here, the disenchanted Hillary voters and worried conservative base vote, checkmate!" (MAYBE)
This is true.
Pace, WITT. If you recall the frenzy over the likelihood of a Rudy Giuliani nomination for president, you'll know--from all of the preemptive, pro-Rudy apologetics--that the president's position on meaningful social issues doesn't really matter, so what can we say of the would-be Vice President?

If she has common sense, she could handle the job and call upon help as neededYea you know Quayle was a staunch pro-life conservative but went nowhere when he ran for President even after serving in the White House, if Palin were running independently as President, she would go nowhere also with many Freepers I'm sure citing her as unqualified, yet here she is all of a sudden more than qualified to be the President and step in as Commander-in-Chief in a country at war, and yet Savage gets castigated for calling her qualifications into question, pls pinch me like Savage I think I'm having a nightmare..............
