Well non conservative, and I can only assume you are not conservative from your remarks,most conservatives on FR are on board with McCain right now because of the Palin pick for VP, it was nice to have a real conservative picked, so I don't think any of them, or not many at any rate, will crab to much if Hunter endorses McCain. If he does I bet he is really endorsing Palin. Go McCain/Palin! Oh, BTW, I am a real conservative and am happy now to vote for McCain since he picked a conservative such as Palin!

Fred Thompson, the one-time Republican presidential candidate, endorsed Sen. John McCain Friday, calling on the party to “close ranks” behind the presumed nominee.

“This is no longer about past preferences or differences. It is about what is best for our country and for me that means that Republican should close ranks behind John McCain,” Thompson said in a statement reported by the Associated Press.

He is announcing the start up of FredPAC. Stephen Hayes wrote an article about him and his possible posturing for 2012 at The Weekly Standard on-line.
