I know a large number of michellemalkin.com readers have shared my deep-seated reservations about John McCain. Those reservations especially regarding border security, the environment, campaign finance, and his Soros flirtations remain. And you know I will not hesitate to pound on them. But the Palin VP choice appears to be a huge step forward for movement conservatism. She is the real deal.
Todays poll question: Are you on board with McCain/Palin?

I know who I’m voting for, but I don’t get “pumped” about any politician any more. I don’t even know if I would be “pumped” if Reagan was running again. I’ve seen too much.
I can understand your point, but I am psyched about this pick even more than I thought...I just read her bio and it is pretty amazing!
count me in. MP08
the yes votes are running 20 to 1
Well let me tell you, with his performance at Saddelback, his brilliant new style of ads, and now picking Palin, I am so Pumped I can't be contained. I am using my lunch hour today to find websites to purchase bumper stickers, yard signs, T-shirts, heck right now I could break a taboo of mine and tattoo McCain/Palin 08 on my chest.
And yes, I am writing a check to his campaign. Obama is in big trouble.
I’m such an idiot. I wish I could change my vote. I voted the first but the second is “I wish it was Palin/McCain”!!!!
What’s to get pumped about. McCain is still the head honcho and a conservative is out of the way.
Obviously a good pick but I know how little power a VP really has these days.
Dick Cheney begs to disagree...
But, about that first check to the GOP...
withholding that one until I see how she affects what Juan says and does.
Then, there's that whole engineered primary fiasco to get over....gonna be awhile.
Oh, let crapple creek whine. After all, once John McCain wins, he is going to move to France, anyway.
God Bless John McCain for making such a wonderful choice for VP. I’m so glad that he chose Palin and not a pro-death candidate. Also, McCain will almost definetly win the election now. He has pretty much loocked up at least 30 % of Hilary supporters or more, which is more than 6 million votes. Watch in the next few days the polls fly upward for McCain. I’m thinking 10% lead within 5 days, and probably will go up a point or two more from there. McCain’s got it locked up!!!
Since I can’t stand RINO McPain and Islamic Osama Hussein, I’m a “wait-and-see” type of woman.
Look little boy. I don’t know where you’re getting your fantasy but that’s twice you’ve made that comment. If I said it, it’s time to put your big boy pants on and show us all.
This sets up Sarah Palin, a strong conservative, as the next Republican presidential candidate.
For me, that's exciting, it easily could have any number of McCain's Rino friends or "independent" Democrat Joe Lieberman.
!hubba-hubba!
Yours is the best argument I’ve heard.
