Understand what I am beginning to see:
Official Washington, as well as the entire Democratic Commentariat and their Media Lapdogs are not getting Palin the way they didn't get Reagan.
This is important to understand. You have to think of Palin the way you thought of Reagan in, say, 1964. "At the Beginning". Reagan was a man of genuine conviction and depth, and something tells me after watching Palin's interview on CNBC tonight, that she is of the same material. I suspect McCain sized her up and struck gold.
So they put her down and call her "inexperienced" and "unqualified", not understanding that once she rolls out and starts speaking, her genuineness and her inner steel will wipe away all doubts.
I am convinced of this, and have been ever since the buzz about her began this morning. There is the air of Reagan about her; and only because Reagan himself was a showman whose showmanship was totally authentic.
Her enemies do not understand that the key to Sarah Palin is her authenticity, and authenticity is the key to this election.
We will look back, years hence, the way we look back on Reagan's Time for Choosing speech in 1964 on this day as the Beginning. Trust me on this. This woman has come out of nowhere and she will change the Republican Party.
