I will always love Fred Thompson. However, his first television appearance as a politician, I don't know if he was ill or if he expected the same response he got as an actor, but it didn't bode well for him. I just pulled my bumper sticker off my back window a few months ago and still have three more filed away for keepsakes.
And who knows. Fred is a Southern Gentleman. He might pop up as a Cabinet Secretary or in some other position. And when he does, I'll still be in his corner.

Mr. Robinson, I think SEN. McCain just won.
After the temple to Obama speech last night, he should have been all over the news tonight. Instead, it was wall to wall coverage about Gov. Palin, the next Vice President of our Nation.
I turned on some talk radio and the leftists on the evening show were having fits that: (A) she was selected; (B) she is attractive; (C) she is a mother; (D) she is pro-life; and (E) she believes in the right to keep & bear arms.
The day after their guy made a historic speech, all they can do is hurl insults at this woman.
Negative doesn't win.

2 things I’ve noticed so far about Sarah Palin that are probably flying WAAAAY under the radar.
#1 - If you get a chance to watch her inaugaration video, the one where her husband is holding a bible, tak e a close look at the bible being used. It is WELL-worn, with corners up-turned. I like to see a well-used bible.
#2 - Look closely at her hands and lower forearms. At the risk of sounding like something out of Lonesome Dove, Sarah Palin has strong, working hands.
