I've gotta disagree with you.

This woman is not ready to be commander in chief. For that Joe Biden really is a better choice. There's no way I'll ever pull the lever for John McCain now.

That this was a purely political move is laughably transparent.

Palin has been a mayor and governor. That's more experience than Obama will ever claim. The presidency is no place for on the job training. Why did Obama pick Biden? To underline his complete absence of qualifications for the nation's top job

Oh, haven't you heard? 72 is the new 40. Palin is not being selected to replace anyone anytime soon. 2012 2016 maybe.

It is definitely an affirmative action pick. However, she is a real conservative, by all accounts. Something McCain needed. Not much enthusiasm from me, but it could have been much worse. He could have picked a boring moderate dolt, many which he was considering.

Judging from your sig line, you weren’t going to vote for McCain anyway.

Palin has more executive experience than Obama bin Binden combined. Hell, as CiC of the Alaska National Guard she has more military command experience than the entire Dem ticket. As for foreign policy, perhaps you haven’t noticed, but Alaska borders on Russia.

Palin does not need to be "ready to be CIC". She is the VP. That is the position that is supposed to groom a candidate for the OVal Office. The VP is sent overseas to represent the President and she will do a great job representing McCain and his policys. The Democrats made the mistake of putting he apprentice ahead of the master. This will be their undoing in November.

With all due respect, your logic is contorted. Consider:
President Ears (not ready to be CiC) -> VP Hair-Plugs (maybe ready to be CiC)

President McCain (ready to be CiC) -> VP Palin (maybe ready to be CiC)

The fallacy is contrasting an acting President's readiness vs. a VP's waiting-in-the-wings potential readiness. When contrasted as such, I'd rather take a chance with McCain who clearly above & beyond ready to lead vs. that boy-child trying to prove he's a man (or at least metrosexual).

Oy vey, other that being a windbag in the senate for 36 years, what makes Biden a better choice?

Biden a Commander? He's a friggin micromanaging butt-in-ski! In addition he yaps on and on and wanders all over the place. No clear directions. There's no decision anyone under him can make that will be right. He has ALL the attributes of man who leads an army to abject total disaster.

Hey ... does anyone notice how Palin looks like a younger cousin of Florida's Kathleen Harris?

GOVERNOR Sarah Palin has run a State, and as a Mayor, a city. She just returned from a trip to IRAQ, to visit the troops. She has more CHUTZPAH than Bill Clinton, who allowed several terrorists attacks against the US to take place without a strong response.

As a former MILITARY FEMALE, this woman has what it takes to be COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF and I will vote for her, although formerly I was skeptical of McCain’s liberal stand on certain issues. Knows as “Sarah the Barricuda”, Gov Palin has what it takes, and is God’s answer to prayer for prevention of Obamamania.

So I guess you'll vote for Obama then. That will be a bright move. You may deserve him but the rest of us don't.

How much foreign policy experience did Governors Reagan and George W. Bush have before they were President (not to mention Clinton and Carter?) No governor has foreign policy experience. However, as VP, she will get excellent exposure and training in that arena. Remember, Americans generally elect governors as CiC because of their executive experience, which she has.

Too bad Biden isn't running for the job. But Obama is, so knock yourself out with that fine CinC material you got there.

She has more executive experience than Obama, that's for sure.

In fact she has more executive experience than Obama, Biden and McCain put together.

You've got to be kidding??!!! I was not inclined to pick a woman but it was a stroke of genius. Not because of politics but because she is the real deal. She's done more in 2 years as an executor, a governor, than bambi has ever accomplished in his entire life. You must have missed the speech and/or have not done your homework. Either that or your just a liberal hack.
