Ok so here’s my take.

I’ve been thinking about this.

I really want Mitt to be the VP.

But after watching McCain’s Convention Night ad congratulating Obama I think it will be Palin.

McCain had a grin on his face when talking about Obama’s “historic” night.

What would be a more historic counter in McCain’s mind than picking Palin?

I want it to be Mitt.. and I still think thats a big possibility.

But I think McCain’s going for those Hillary voters.

JOHN MCCAIN:

Senator Obama, this is truly a good day for America.

Too often the achievements of our opponents go unnoticed. So I wanted to stop and say, congratulations.

How perfect that your nomination would come on this historic day. Tomorrow, we'll be back at it. But tonight Senator, job well done.

I'm John McCain and I approved this message.

I’d like it to be Palin. Does anyone know where she’s at tonight? Heading to Dayton?

I really really hope its Palin. It will trump these idiots who DARE to put this republic in jeopardy with Obama. McCain could pick NO better time than now to be a Maverick and put a strong conservative WOMAN on the ticket. One who would have a great shot at being the first woman president.

Please please PLEASE make it Palin! I just think that it would really stick a knife in the “diversity” mantra of the Democratic Party...

Yeah, I know. Heartbeat from the presidency, experience, debate, blah blah blah. Whatever. I want to see the anchors all melt down when the GOP nominates the first woman who will become VP. Just image what would happen to Olbermann/Estrich/Colmes/everybody when they try to squeal about it! They’ll self-destruct!

What a contrast!

John McCain is a cunning man: he anticipated Obama’s angry, whining acceptance speech and timed this ad to look like a decent human being, the polar opposite of the Democrat’s candidate.

I feel exactly the same way you do. That's why I think you're right!
