Especially since he took a pot shot at Obama during this ad.

And then talked up the “historic” nature.

“Please please PLEASE make it Palin! I just think that it would really stick a knife in the “diversity” mantra of the Democratic Party...”

Yeah, and then the Pub Party will wear the mantel of diversity, right? Wrong. If he picks a no-name, inexperienced woman like Palin, just for the sake of having a woman (which is what the Dems do, pick a PC candidate), then McCain is a dolt. I don’t believe he will do this.

Palin as VP (assuming the GOP wins this election) greatly minimizes Hillary’s main selling point for her subsequent attempts at the White House.

There is no doubt that Barakc Obama being a nominee is a very significant event in this nation’s history. But how much does that detract from a Palin VP choice? McCain would be best served by choosing someone who can step in a nd lead—like John stated recently—and not just a token selection like Palin would be in too many peoples’ calculus.

But then nothing will appease you short of a Romney choice, so you denigrate everyone else out of hand. Here’s a clue: nothing you or I post at FR will effect the choice one way or the other, so why not be objective rather than just a snot.

You know i am coming to the same idea about him. He’s played this Veep thing well. And frankly he saw that it may be hillary as the nomination and didn’t go after obama until it became clear it would be obama.

He’s begining to show himself as a very shrewed person and a a great advesary. If he would ONLY get right on amnesty i could really like this guy

(Wiping away a tear) Why must you crush my dreams??? Wouldn’t it be worth it all just once, just once, to see Hillary’s pantsuit spontaneously combust at the thought of another woman in the Oval Office?

I have a dream...

“so why not be objective rather than just a snot”

LOL! You and the word objective should not be used in the same sentence.

“he anticipated Obama’s angry, whining acceptance speech”

I think the one word that fits Obama more than any other is “imperious”. And imperious can look almost angry, and definitely arrogant and nose-in-the air as he almost always is. But when he’s really smiling he looks like a kid. He doesn’t have a good, in between expression.

Palin would be the perfect debate candidate to pit up against Angry Joe.

McCain would be best served by choosing someone who can step in and lead

Sarah Palin has shown more sand and initiative in her two years in office than any ten male Alaska politicians you could name.

Since the only other Alaskan politician I can name is Ted 'the grifter' Stevens, that's not much of a bump to cross. Running any state is more than a Senator gets in leadership experience. The choice had better be who can step in and lead in McCain's place, then sex or race might be a consideration for the historic nature. But Obambi pretty much has the 'significance' factor sewn up for this election cycle.

“Does anyone know where she’s at tonight? Heading to Dayton?”

Sarah Palin reportedly just flew from Alaska to Ohio by chartered plane.

I can’t think of any reason to have her there and then pick someone else.

I’m hoping Barry and the MSM are about to have their worst nightmare come true. Landslide! Wipeout! The only smiling Rats will be Joe, Bill and Hillary. It’s sweet revenge for Hillary from her good buddy John McCain.
