Maybe Pawlenty is a great guy and his kids love him.

But ripping off GOP Governors has been a disaster for the party (Remember Govs. Ridge, Thompson, Engler, Whitman(ugh) ????)

But I don’t see how Pawlenty helps us anywhere but in making MN competitively (not a winner, just a possibility).

I’d love to see Bobby Jindal but I would still oppose it because we would lose a star at the place where he is the MOST effective - running a state which shows that Republicans are better executives than our opponents.

“In April, Mr. Pawlenty delivered the remarks that probably best reveal his views on the environment. “It looks like we should have listened to President Carter,” he told the Minnesota Climate Change Advisory Group. “He called us to action, and we should have listened. . . . Climate change is real. Human behavior is partly and may be a lot responsible. Those who don’t think so are simply not right. We should not spend time on voices that say it’s not real.””

He’s a nice guy and all but this isn’t a good choice at all. He’s moved far left in the last 3 years. I highly doubt he can carry Minnesota for McCain. One things for sure, he and McCain are 2 peas in a pod.

Pawlenty will help us in MN (48% for Bush), WI (49% for Bush) and IA (50% for Bush) and among working-class, socially conservative voters in MI (48% for Bush), OH (51% for Bush), PA (48% for Bush), NM (50% for Bush), NV (50% for Bush), CO (52% for Bush) and FL (52% for Bush), and in more Republican states that Obama is trying to win (such as VA, MO, AR and WV). I think he’d be an excellent runningmate for John McCain (as would Eric Cantor, Rob Portman and several others who don’t appear to have made the shortlist).
